A kangaroo was found with an arrow through the back of her head and sticking out of her eye in what the RSPCA has described as a horror attack. She was found by a security worker at Central Coast's Morisset Hospital on Sunday morning. Kangaroos are known to frequent the area, and are accustomed to being fed by humans. 50-year old commercial bus driver beaten to death with charm in Ondo State

Mr Akeem Olanipekun, a commercial bus driver was allegedly beaten to death with charms by some hoodlums in Ondo State over the weekend.  Accoding to reports, the 50-year-old man was beaten to death with the charm during a fight, which ensued between him and the alleged killers at the Imo area of the town. An eyewitness said the deceased accompanied his friend, who operates a rental business in the community, to erect canopies for a ceremony at the Imo quarters when the fight began. The eyewitness said, “when they were about erecting the canopy, the ‘area boys’ approached them for the payment of ‘Owo Ile’ before the canopies could be erected. This led to a hot argument between the deceased and the boys, who went home and brought the charm with which they beat Akeem over the non-payment of the ‘Owo Ile’. Woman found dead in Ebonyi hotel room days after her murder, her boyfriend arrested

The dead body of an unidentified woman was found in a room at the Crown Garden Hotel located along Afikpo road in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state on Sunday December 16th. This was disclosed by the state police command spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah. One Mr Sylvester Oduma, who lodged in the hotel and whose complaint led to the discovery of the corpse, said  “I arrived at the hotel on Sunday, paid for a suite and checked into the hotel only to perceive an unpleasant odour oozing out of the next room, which became unbearable. I quickly drew the attention of the management of the hotel to the unpleasant odour and they opened the door and found the lifeless body of a fair lady in the room. Notorious cultists, armed robbers arrested in Bayelsa State

The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a notorious armed robber and cult member, identified as James Oweifa, alias Grade, who had been terrorising residents of Yenagoa, the state capital, for long. It was gathered that the suspect was arrested on Thursday by  operatives of a police surveillance unit, who were acting on a tip-off. Spokesperson for the commad, DSP Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the arrest on Friday, said the suspects were arrested during a Stop and Search Operations embarked on by operatives  in Yenagoa. Policemen on Friday afternoon, arrested a notorious Icelanders cultist, Ayibamiebi David, 20,  AKA Desperado in a tricycle along Ekeki Road, Yenagoa. Two African women arrested in Thailand for prostitution

The Immigration police in Thailand has arrested two African women accused of working as prostitutes. The ladies Glory Nasaazi, 39, and Shamim Nai’ga, 33, said to be from Uganda, were taken into custody on Walking Street in Pattaya. According to Pattaya Mail, other African women standing nearby managed to escape during the raid. The arrested women were processed for deportation.

Baby attacked by two dogs dies in hospital

A baby who sustained severe head injuries after being mauled by two dogs last month has died in hospital. Reuben McNulty, who is understood to have been less than a month old when he was attacked by his family’s pets, died at a Cambridge hospital on Thursday, police said. The Staffordshire bull terriers, Fizzy and Dotty, have been destroyed. Paramedics were called to a property in Yaxley, Cambridgeshire, in the early hours of 18 November after the attack. The couple living at the address, Daniel McNulty and Amy Litchfield, are understood to have been the baby’s parents and were reportedly devastated by the attack. Police said a 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, both from Yaxley, had been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and released under investigation. Premier League club,  Southampton,  has sacked coach  Mark Hughes  after a terrible start to season which have seen them grab just one win out of 14 games this season. Assistant first team manager  Mark Bowen  and assistant first team coach  Eddie Niedzwiecki  have also left the club. The dismissal comes after  Southampton slipped into the relegation zone and dropped a two-goal lead against  Manchester United  on Saturday, in the game which ended 2 - 2. In a statement, the Premier League club announced: 'We would like to express our thanks to Mark and his staff for all of their efforts during their time at St Mary's,' a statement read. 2019 election: Timi Frank reports Buhari to Abdulsalami’s committee, UN, US, EU over Electoral Act 2018

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank, has called on the National Peace Committee headed by former Head of state, retired Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently sign into law the Electoral Act 2018 as amended. Frank also called on the United Nations, United States of America, European Union and the African Union to lend their voices to compel President Buhari to sign the Electoral Act 2018 as amended. He said this will prove to the world that Buhari is committed to peaceful elections in 2019. Frank however warned that alleged plot to rig 2019 election by the incumbent government will backfire.
