Here are some photos of the pilot who died in the Nigeria Air force jet crash, which occurred today in abuja.

The pilot has been identified as squadron leader MB Baba Ari.

Statement from air commodore ibikunle daramola reads below:

"It is with heavy heart that I regretfully announce that one of the pilots who successfully ejected from one of the f-NI air craft that crashed earlier today has passed on.may his soul rest in peace. Additional details on the incident will be communicated," Daramola said. 

Another source also said:

"Only one of the pilot's was able to eject, the other one couldn't (this is one of the best pilots in the air force) and he died on the spot."

According to him, the pilot that ejected did not land well and has sustained a serious head injury which needs urgent surgery.
