Lagos police arrests woman who burnt her 12-year-old houseboy with hot iron for taking her soft drink

Lagos State police command over the weekend arrested one  Sarah Eteigbe  for allegedly placing a hot pressing iron on her 12-year-old houseboy,  Friday Obi , for taking her soft drink in Bariga area of Lagos. The 35-year-old trader brought Obi from Imo State, 4 years ago, to live with her in her one-room apartment at 17 Mutairu Street, Pedro, Bariga. Shortly after Obi settled in the house, Sarah allegedly started beating him. Sarah’s landlord and Obi’s teachers were said to have cautioned her against inflicting injuries on the boy whenever she punished him. The beating came to a head last Friday after teachers noticed bloodstains on his uniform. Upon enquiry, he disclosed that his aunty burnt him with hot pressing iron. Leicester City owner, confirmed dead in crash

Leicester City’s owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, died in the helicopter crash outside the club’s stadium on Saturday, it was confirmed on Sunday night by the club. He was one of five people killed – all onboard the helicopter – when the accident occurred around an hour after the club’s draw at home to West Ham United. Lion air 737 crashes with 181 on board.

An aircraft with 189 people on board is believed to have sunk after crashing into the sea off Indonesia's island of Java on Monday, shortly after takeoff from the capital on its way to the country's tin-mining hub, officials said. A spokesman for Indonesia's search and rescue agency said the  Lion Air  flight, JT610, lost contact 13 minutes after takeoff, adding that a tug boat leaving the capital's port had seen the craft falling. "It has been confirmed that it has crashed," the spokesman, Yusuf Latif, said by text message, when asked about the fate of the plane, which air tracking service Flightradar 24 identified as a Boeing 737 MAX 8. Debris thought to be from the plane, including aircraft seats, was found near an offshore refining facility in the Java Sea, an official of state energy firm Pertamina said. A grateful mother took to social media to praise a boy who helped her daughter when she unknowingly got her period on a school bus. The woman shared on the Facebook page Gurgaon Moms, the woman said the young man came to her daughter's rescue and saved her from a potentially embarrassing situation.
