The Super Eagles of Nigeria squad failed to make a single cut as Africa Best XI for 2018 was unveiled at a ceremony in Dakar on Tuesday night. Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah who won the African player of the year alongside Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Senegal's Sadio Mane were named as the best-attacking forwards in Africa. In the midfield, Ghana's Thomas Partey and Guinea's Naby Keita alongside Riyad Mahrez of Algeria were named. For the best defenders in Africa, Ivory Coast's Eric Bailly and Serge Aurier alongside Medhi Benatia of Morocco and Senegal's Kalidou Koulibaly were named in the Africa Best XI for 2018 Ugandan goalkeeper Denis Onyango was named as the best goal stopper in Africa.
